Expert note: look at the activity list of everything you can do. Consider the temperatures and your personal desire for relaxation versus the wish to do activities.
Can you swim in Victoria Falls?
Yes, but only in designated locations and under guided conditions.
The most famous swimming experience is Devil's Pool, located near the edge of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. Visitors can swim in a naturally formed rock pool protected by a rocky lip. Angel's Pool is a high water alternative, with a bit more distance to the edge.
Swimming is never permitted across the waterfall itself and should only take place with licensed operators following local safety regulations.
The Zambezi River contains strong currents as well as wildlife including crocodiles and hippos, making unsupervised swimming dangerous.
Devil's Pool and Angel's Pool offer amazing experiences though. See below for more. [exploreeve...ountry.com], [fairtravels.ai, [victoriafa...-guide.net], [livingston...ourism.com]
Is Victoria Falls safe for tourists?
Victoria Falls is generally considered one of Africa's safest tourism destinations and receives hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
However, visitors should follow standard travel precautions:
Stay within marked viewing areas.
Follow guide instructions.
Secure valuables.
Respect wildlife.
Avoid approaching animals on foot without guides.
The biggest safety risks are often natural rather than criminal, including slippery walkways, strong river currents, and encounters with wild animals.
Most tourism operators maintain high safety standards for activities such as rafting, ziplining, and helicopter flights. [whc.unesco.org] [MOSI-OA-TU...Datasheet], [en.wikipedia.org]

What's the difference between Devil's Pool and Angel's Pool?
What is Devil's pool?
Devil's Pool is the world-famous natural infinity pool perched right on the edge of Victoria Falls. Feel the rush as you swim to the very brink of the roaring waterfall and capture the iconic photo that adventurers dream about.
When is Devil's pool open? Devil's pool is typically open during the low-water season from mid-August to late December.
What is Angel's Pool?
Angel's Pool offers a spectacular alternative when water levels are higher. Located slightly further back from the edge, it delivers the same breathtaking views and excitement while ensuring a safe and unforgettable experience.
When is Angel's pool open? Angel's pool is available during transitional water levels when Devil's Pool is not accessible.
Important note: No operator can guarantee Devil's Pool availability months in advance because opening dates depend entirely on river conditions. Visitors traveling specifically for Devil's Pool should always confirm availability shortly before arrival. [victoriafa...-guide.net], [livingston...ourism.com]
