Victoria Falls is easily accessible by air and road.
How do I get to Victoria Falls by air?
Most international visitors arrive via one of two main airports:
Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (Livingstone, Zambia)
Victoria Falls International Airport (Zimbabwe)
Both airports offer connections from major African hubs such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, and Lusaka. Once you arrive, hotels, lodges, taxis, and transfer companies provide transport to the falls and surrounding attractions.
How do I get to Victoria Falls by bus?
For a more budget-friendly option, buses run regularly from the big cities in the countries nearby. There are quite some bus providers from the big cities nearby. Be aware that most buses don't drive in the dark. There are tourist buses and local buses: when the drive is longer than a few hours, tourist buses are highly recommended and worth the extra money.
How do I get to Victoria Falls by car?
The roads are quite good and the traffic is not bad at all. Easy to drive across borders as well. Easy accessible within a day drive from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. It is not recommended to drive in the dark.
You can drive yourself or take a taxi service.
Because the waterfall lies on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, many visitors use one country as their base while exploring both sides.
